. ACTIVE OFFICE DESCRIPTIONProducts and environments often force people to be physical inactive. Physical activity can be stimulated by positive motivation and facilitation.
An office environment has been designed in which standing is the primary interaction. There are also some high chairs available but in a smaller number than workers. Standing results in the following benefits:
- Volatility; Users don't have to lift themselves out of their inactive ergonomic chairs anymore, so their will be more interaction with their nearby environment.
- Interaction; Because of e-mail, the amount of real-life communication between workers decreased. In the Active Office, workers are always at the same height as their colleagues walking by, so interaction around the computer screen is stimulated between them.
